Sospel Telethon 2009
People in Sospel really know how to enjoy themselves when they get the chance to enjoy themselves and help a good cause that seems to add a certain glow to what they’re doing. Like the red nose Day in the UK, the telethon — held every year just before Christmas — is widely supported throughout the whole of France.
Sospel of course is no exception to that and much effort was put into organising this year’s brilliant event. While a fair bit went on during the day, most of the action took place in the evening with a biking event — you can see the prize-giving ceremony in the second video — taking place in the early evening. Followed by a very nice dinner and a band and we give you a flavour of that in the video directly underneath.
Many of the prizes were given by local businesses including many of the bars, chambres d’hotes, sospel hotels and other businesses.
This is the video of the prize giving ceremony for those who took part in the bike races over the circuit is laid out in sospel national telethon day2009. Much fun was had by all and teams were put forward by local Riding clubs, local bars, hotels and restaurants and even the gendarme.
