I’m going skiing in the French Alps for Christmas, but on Christmas Eve I want to call my family on Skype. I don’t really know anything about the area we’re skiing in – Les Contamines. As far as I can tell its near Chamonix. Do I need to go to Chamonix for internet, and if so, how would I get there from Les Contamines? Thanks.
I am going on a tour with a UK company which has booked out a 200 bed chalet. I don’t think there is internet there. I don’t particularly want to take my laptop, either. I’m more wondering if there are any cyber cafe kind of places?

I’m going to be around the french / swiss / italian alps for 2 or 3 days around Chamonix and will have a car – what are the places worth seeing? i was thinking about driving to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn but was wondering if it was worth the trip.
