I know that those aren’t really french holidays but its a dumb assignment my teacher wants us to do.

Could you give me (at least) three – four examples of French holidays (national and not)?
Just the names of some holidays would help me out greatly.
Also,
Could you give me an example of a dish a person/family would prepare and serve on one or more of the holidays you gave examples of?
And, the dish would have to be able to serve a class (20 – 30 people).
