Step back in time at Le Manoir Du Poul, located in the heart of Brittany, a region in northwestern France bordered on the north by the English Channel and on the south by the Bay of Biscay. The 3-story manor was built in 1613 and holds a very prominent place in the hearts of the people in Central Brittany. It is surrounded by 30 acres of woods with hiking paths and a park. It is located out in the country so that the only thing guest hear are the birds and an occasional farm tractor off in the distance. Centrally located, the manor is ideal for use as a home base to make day trips in all directions. The coast is only an hour and fifteen minutes away in three directions.

Holidays On Demand explores the nation’s spookiest destinations for Halloween. In this episode Sydney Smith and Renee Lezair of Haunted History Tours take us through the legendary French Quarter in New Orleans to visit the sites of documented hauntings. First stop is the LaLaurie Mansion, also called the « Blight of New Orleans ». Known as the most haunted location in the French Quarter, it is said that an heiress from the 1830′s, Delphine LaLaurie, would throw parties while she tortured captive guests upstairs. After victims were found mangled with broken bones and severed limbs, one bystander threw herself from the window. These restless souls still linger on the property to this day.

SkiPeak.com provide exclusive Ski Holidays in France. Choosing the right late season ski resort is as difficult as selecting one just before or over Christmas, another time when snow cover can be poor. Generally it is important to aim high for guaranteed snow but may skiers, like me, prefer to stay in chalets in quiet authentic atmospheric alpine villages rather than the unattractive purpose built complexes associated with some higher resorts.
