it can be anywhere in both cities. so it doesnt need to be anywhere specific in Italy or Nice
and look, you are just another stuck up european. my apologies for saying "cities" I was in a hurry, so let me rephrase the question for you. do you know the quickest city roads to get from Nice, France, a city, to Italy, a country?
Better?

I have two weeks in France/Italy this summer. The first week is Paris & french Riviera. The Second Week is Como, Cinque Terre and Rome. How should I arrange my Italy route? My problem is how to arrange going from Como to Cinque Terre or vice versa, while minimizing travel time. Also, if anyone has any travel tips about these places, feel free to share.

Where would be a better place to study/work abroad? I like the outdoors and I’m interested in acting. I may have lodging in Nice through family.
I am leaning towards nice because I think it might be closer to skiing and climbing. And maybe Monaco and Italy would make it interesting. But Paris would probably have more opportunities for an English speaking person for acting or modeling. But maybe I could go there in the summer. I am thinking of staying for two years.

I am planning a trip to France and Italy in June 2009 and am having great difficulty finding a way to get from Nice to Florence. I have 12hrs in which to get there, so far have found 1 flight which will cost me 00NZ (approx 700 Euro).Tried lots of rail sites on internet but there doesn’t seem to be anything available. HELP!!!!!!

I’m in my early 20s and will be taking a trip to France and Italy and I have about 5 days in Provence. My itinerary now is to have about 1 day in Avignon, 1.5 days in Arles, 1 day in Aix-en-Provence, and 2 days in Nice. I’ll be going from Paris to Provence, and then from Provence to Venice, and plan on sticking to the trains/buses while in Provence. Question 1: I think this is rushing it a bit, any ideas how to pare down the Provence part? Question 2 (more important): to reduce the number of hotel transfers that I’m making which takes time, does it make sense to have a certain city be my home base where I have a hotel, and then take day trips from there to elsewhere? If so, what should be my home base city?
